GC Framing in Big Bear

A full build crew for the mountain

GC Framing is a licensed California general contractor (Lic. #1033958 — B, C-5, C-33, C-36) serving homeowners across greater San Diego — and now Big Bear Lake, Big Bear City, Sugarloaf, Fawnskin, Baldwin Lake, Erwin Lake, and Moonridge.

Since expanding to the mountains in 2025, we have helped cabin owners and full-time residents with framing, remodeling, additions, decks, and exterior improvements. Building at 7,000 feet is different: snow loads, freeze/thaw cycles, and moisture drive every structural decision we make.

Our licenses cover the whole job under one roof — structure, finishes, and now plumbing too, from frozen pipe repairs to the rough-in for a new bathroom. We coordinate permits and inspections with San Bernardino County so you do not have to.

Why choose GC Framing

Built for mountain conditions, run like a business

The mountain is hard on houses and harder on shortcuts. Here is what we do differently.

Built for mountain conditions

Snow load calculations, freeze/thaw protection, and moisture management in every project — not an afterthought.

Licensed & versatile

Multiple California contractor licenses (B, C-5, C-33, C-36) let us handle framing, finishes, and plumbing under one roof.

Code-compliant

We coordinate permits and inspections with San Bernardino County and local authorities, as required by the project scope.

Material options

From budget-friendly to premium, always matched to the mountain climate — never a one-size-fits-all spec.

Clear communication

Organized job sites, transparent scheduling, and reliable updates throughout your project — useful when you are down the hill.

One crew, whole job

When plumbing or repairs open a wall, the same company closes it: framing, drywall, texture, and paint on one invoice.

Frozen or burst pipe at the cabin? Shut off the main valve, then call — we will talk you through the rest.
